Cleanings

Regular cleanings are the basis of maintaining good dental health. A typical appointment includes a thorough cleaning, a full examination of the mouth, and regularly scheduled x-rays. After your cleaning, Dr. Burton will make any recommendations based on his findings.

Sealants

Sealants protect the young molars, the back teeth, of children and teenagers who are at the most risk for decay of the molars. Sealants are thin, plastic coatings which are applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars to prevent tooth decay in these areas. Sealants are applied through a three step process: first, the tooth is cleaned with specific type of toothpaste; second, the teeth are cleansed using a liquid chemical; third, the sealants are applied to the teeth and form a protective plastic barrier in about one minute. Sealants can last from 5 to 10 years.

Flouride

Fluoride treatments benefit the dental health of both children and adults to prevent tooth decay and disease. Additional fluoride products may also be used outside of the dentist office for people who are prone to tooth decay; this may include dietary supplements, mouth rinses, gels, and varnishes.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Tooth Whitening and Bleaching

Teeth whitening procedures gives your smile that extra shine. These procedures are best for people with healthy, unrestored teeth. The office of Dr. Carl Burton uses the teeth whitening technology of Bravo which offers one of the top whitening products for teeth, while protecting sensitive mouths at the same time. At home whitening treatments are also available from Whiter Image.

Veneers

Decayed, deformed, or broken teeth can be repaired through the use of veneers - a thin porcelain shell that is attached to the tooth. Veneers are considered to be one of the most non-invasive cosmetic tooth restoration available because little to no surface of the tooth is removed. Veneers are able to provide dramatic transformations to give you the smile you've always wanted.

Cosmetic Fillings

Unlike traditional fillings that are made of gold or silver, cosmetic white or composite fillings mimic the natural color of teeth. Tooth colored composite fillings can be used to restore the natural look to teeth that have decayed or been fractured.

Dental Crowns

Individual teeth or a row of teeth that have been too badly damaged or decayed to be repaired through fillings or veneers can be corrected through the use of crowns and bridges. The office of Carl Burton uses the new E. Max system of crown fabrication. E. Max uses a porcelain crown structure without the need for the metal support that older crown systems use. E. Max mimics the translucency of a natural tooth which makes the crown nearly undetectable, while also providing a strong support structure that will not easily break.

Other Services

Implant Restoration

Dental Implants are quickly becoming the preferred method of replacing missing teeth. Implants offer a more structurally sound alternative to dentures or partial dentures for individuals with sufficiently sized jaw bone structure. A small titanium cylinder is implanted into the jaw bone and eventually a permanent crown is anchored to the cylinder - perfectly replicating a natural tooth. Your dentist can evaluate your candidacy for dental implants.

Full & Partial Dentures

Both full and partial dentures not only replace missing teeth, but also restore your beautiful smile to your face. Missing some or all your teeth can lead to premature aging of your face as your facial muscles may begin to sag without the support of your teeth. Difficulties with eating and speaking are also negative effects of missing teeth. Dentures empower you to once more have a healthy mouth and a bright, confident smile.
